Scrap Rubber for War Purposes

The Commonwalth (sic) Government appeals for supplies of scrap rubber urgently required for war purposes. The public is asked to make available all types of scrap rubber, such as rubber automobile and cycle tyres, tubes and rust bands, also rubber mats, old garden hose, and hot water bottles. (Not including rubber floor covering, since it contains too large a proportion of reclaimed rubber to be suitable for further use).

Please contact the Municipal Officers (Tel. Chelsea 42, or 61) when arrangements will be made for collection. The Council urges the co-operation of all citizens.

F. CALLAHAN, Town Clerk.
